Mechanical Engineering Manager

Position
As Mechanical Engineering Manager you will be part of FuelTechs R&D department, with focus on managing the mechanical engineering team as well as being hands on calculating equipment for the maritime industry, as well as participating in mechanical specification.
Your primary work areas will be:
- Manage the Mechanical Engineering Team and foster a good work environment.
- Provide opportunities for growth.
- Contribute to knowledge regarding process calculations.
- Prepare Specifications for design and execution, based on customer requirements, relevant rules and standards.
- Structural design and calculations according to relevant codes and rules.
- Assisting in the concept phase of new products from an engineering perspective.
- Cross-disciplinary work with relevant sub-suppliers and customers, as well as internal in Eltronic Fueltech.
Tasks you will be involved in:
You will be required to partake in the employee development interview (MUS), general personnel responsibility and team budgets. You will have the responsibility of resource allocation, as well as assisting the team in a professional and technical manner.
You will be acting as a Player-Coach where you will be managing a team where you are also involved in relevant specifications, calculations, etc.
The position reports to the R&D Director of Eltronic FuelTech, and you will have your own office space at our headquarters in Hedensted.
Your everyday work will vary with tasks and projects of different nature and sizes. You will be part of a professional, strong, and committed team with high moral.
Professional qualifications
Preferably you have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a manager within mechanical engineering.
You are fluent in spoken and written English, possess good IT skills, and in addition, have a good mechanical understanding.
You have experience in calculating process piping and pressure vessels according to ASME. Preferably you also understand FEA and can calculate according to code.
You are familiar with IMO codes and have experience with maritime class companies, such as: DNV, ABS, LR, etc.
Personal qualifications.
You are structured and good at maintaining the big overview. You have an analytical mindset and able to analyse issues.
