This is your chance to build your knowledge along with a team of experts that provides major shipping companies with compliance verification and technical assistance related to all aspects of their operations. We seek to share our knowledge widely and use our extensive work with clients, industry bodies, and authorities to bring about positive change.
Become an expert on maritime rules
You will advise our customers on their challenges, and review and validate drawings of electrical installations or equipment. Quickly, you will become an expert on these, and as new rules and regulations are introduced, you familiarize yourself with these too, so you never stop learning with in step the customers and your colleagues.
More specifically, you:
Review and validate design drawings of electrical and automation installations on ships, offshore units, and marine equipment, against Class Rules and Regulations
Answer questions from clients, support our Customer Support Center and Marine Operations teams with regulatory technical issues.
Close comments based on client replies, and assist clients in understanding rules and regulations.
Build competency in advanced automation systems, including autonomous ship technology and cyber security.
Continuously develop your technical knowledge, professional skills, and qualification level.
What will make you successful at Bureau Veritas?
You have an education as, MSc or BSc in Electrical or Power engineering, preferably with experience in maritime, offshore, or renewables environment.
Alternatively, you have solid technical background or experience within the marine, offshore, or electrical industry.
Experience with High Voltage installations or Cyber Security is a plus.
- You are used to working with IT systems – we use Office365, among others
- You speak and write fluent English and have work and residence permits in the EU
- A flexible mindset and thrives in an environment where adaptability is high on the list
