Design of Green Hydrogen production plants
As Piping and Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing process plants for hydrogen production and building up the internal processes, toolchain, and capabilities. Your main task will be to design the piping systems in 3D and support other disciplines with mechanical design expertise, while working on large-scale electrolyser projects. This includes designing Piping and Mechanical specification in close cooperation with the project team and stakeholders. The project has a focus on optimizing and improving the design capabilities and lifetime cost. 
Moreover, you will be a part of projects as responsible for the preparation and approval of project-related deliverables. This includes reviewing and approving piping and mechanical discipline’s related project and supplier documents and ensuring that the quality of design documentation is of an acceptable standard. Furthermore, you will ensure that engineering activities on assigned projects are executed following the project Scope of Work, procedures, and relevant safety requirements.

Your tasks will also include:

  • Attend coordination and engineering review meetings
  • Suggest ways to improve efficiency, cost, and material specification
  • Prepare and review pipe material specifications.
  • Prepare, check and approve piping BOM, BOQ, and MTO.
  • Developing internal standards and procedures relevant to Piping and Mechanical design.


Who are you…?

You have a Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of progressive Design experience in the Industrial Gas, Chemical, Oil & Gas or related industries.

We imagine you are analytical and detail-oriented but still able to work in a complex environment with many interfaces. As a person, you are dedicated to your job, and you want to make a difference in the world by working for a company that wants to make green transportation possible. Your strong interpersonal skills ensure that you work well independently and in teams. Furthermore, you are proficient in both written and spoken English.

Moreover, we imagine that you have:

  • Experience working with Process & Utility piping systems, Unit Operations (compressors, pumps, gas storage vessels, heat exchangers, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of high-pressure gas transportation and distribution systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards for process piping according to ASME and ISO standards.
  • Experience with 3D design software.
